Notes on the Names in Finding His Way

Akna is an Inuit goddess of fertility, whom I named the brothers' mother after. No mention of their father or fathers, because I assumed there was no concept of paternity and marriage this long ago.

Amaruq is Inuktitut for "wolf." (Yeah yeah, I did play the wolf references to the hilt.) Tipuk means "herrings," unalaq "west wind," pinahut means "three," massak "soft snow," nauja "seagull" and ihun "lake trout." Other than amaruq and nauja I have no idea if some of these words are actually used as person names, but I liked the way they sounded...:)

These are the online resources I used in choosing the names.
